Guest guest
Wanted: Veganauts Mission: Explore, celebrate and share vegan food with new and old friends at vegetarian restaurants throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. What: Veganauts: Mission to Golden EraWhere: SF - 572 O'Farrell St (Leavenworth)When: 3/23/07 Friday, 6:00 pmHost: Ron [ http://www.bayareaveg.org/rsvp.htm?id=1562 ] Full Details: http://www.bayareaveg.org/events.php?EID=1562#1562 If you're ready to explore the universe of vegan foods, then join VEGANAUTS for our Spring expedition to Golden Era in SF. Golden Era is one of the Bay Area's popular choices for vegan culinary delights. It is exclusively Vietnamese foods . Local flora & faux fauna include a variety of appetizers, soups, noodle dishes, and entrees. My favorites include the fresh spring rolls, fu young, "Lamb Claypot" (mushrooms & tofu), Sesame Eggplant tofu, Spicy Potato "Chicken" Curry, Carmelized "Chicken", Teriyaki "Salmon". Nearly everything is vegan except for a couple of drinks and the flan. Vegan cake from Black China Bakery available for dessert. Other known factoids about this restaurant include: Their original location is in downtown Oakland, called Golden Lotus . They have 2 locations in SF, the first in the Tenderloin (Golden Era) and the second in the Richmond district (Golden Era 2). When Golden Lotus first opened, many long-time Bay Area veggies remembered another veg favorite, Lotus Garden in SF's Chinatown, which closed many years ago. http://www.bayareaveg.org/ug/display.htm?id=9 You are *welcome* to invite family and friends to join us, even non-veg ones. Only vegan foods may be ordered for this dinner Thank you to Ron for leading this mission! If you would like to volunteer to lead a mission at your favorite veg restaurant, please contact us. Mission Schedule:http://www.veganauts.com So if you're looking for good food, company, and conversation, join us for this dinner, or check out any of the other Bay Area Veg events.
