Hi folks,

Just thought I'd report back on leafleting during the lunch hour. Today was the first day for the new semester at Academy of Arts in SF, and Sky and I distributed 150 booklets in 30 minutes. People got an opportunity to digest all the information in "Why Vegan" and "Even If You Like Meat", and we got a chance to put our compassion in action for the animals.

Leafleting is all about location, location, location. I participate in the Adopt a College program because it's a great wayto promote veg*nism and typically younger people are more open-minded to new information (see http://www.veganhealth.org/colleges )

There are many great, crowded spots to leaflet in SF during the lunch hour, or as people head towards public transit for the evening commute, so please think about this the next time you've got some spare time to spare for the animals.

If you've never been leafleting before, and wonder why people do this, or what do you say to get people to pick up your leaflet, or are single & looking to met others who are also single & compassionate, check out the next two events. Click on the provided links to see full details.

"This is my protest against the conduct of the world. To be a vegetarian is to disagree--to disagree with the course of things today. Starvation, world hunger, cruelty, waste, wars--we must make a statement against these things. Vegetarianism is my statement and I think it's a strong one." -- Isaac Bashevis Singer
