If you've got non-veg family & friends, this is a perfect gift for them! It's $10 with pre-registration, or $15 at the door. In 2001, she opened the famous all-organic Sparks restaurant in Guerneville, California. Now she lives on Treasure Island and works full-time for PETA, and also teaches the art of compassionate cooking for Bay Area Vegetarians. Her free column, Heart Smart Cooking: Cooking with Compassion and Good Health, appears in the monthly newsletter Public Transit: You can take Muni bus #108 from the TransBay Terminal in downtown SF directly to Treasure Island. This bus goes only to/from TI all day, and costs $1.50, exact change. It is a 15 minute bus ride. This class is sponsored by Bay Area Vegetarians (BAVeg), a San Francisco Bay Area non-profit organization for veg*n and animal rights folks to connect and find support with like-minded folks, while our activities & events encourage and educate the community on the benefits of a plant-based diet.
