Guest guest
Hi folks If you're looking for a calendar for 2007, I wanted to share information about a few of them. 1) Animal Place calendar 2) Chicken Run Rescue calendar 3) PETA Animal Rescue calendar Animal Place is a sanctuary for rescued animals in Vacaville. Everyone should have an opportunity to visit. It's a wonderful opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to being veg when we can visit with the animals and look at them eye to eye, animal to animal. Their 2007 calendar features the critters of Animal Place, of course, and lists their events as well as some of the birthdays of the critters. This is not a full-sized calendar, so it's especially great if you don't have alot of space. I think this is the one I'm taking to work - it'll be a great conversation piece. http://animalplace.org/Giftfromtheheart.html The Chicken Run Rescue calendar features winning entries of rescued chickens. They're all beautiful fowl, many with striking colors. It was really nice to see a familiar face in the calendar -- "Miss January" is "Bonita", a rescued chicken who lives with Alicia (who hosts the Marin dinner for BAVeg). The photos in this calendar are really beautiful, and this is the one we'll hang on our frig at home. http://www.brittonclouse.com/chickenrunrescue/#CALENDAR PETA's calendar features beautiful animal portraits along with the animals' heartwarming stories of rescue. Each month also features animal-rights-related anniversaries and victories. PETA also has a matching donation drive through 12/31, too. Information is on their main website at http://peta.org Calendar - http://www.petacatalog.org/prodinfo.asp?number=ST2007 And, of course, all the profits from these calendars go back to benefit the non-profit organization who publishes them, so it's a great opportunity all around. Cheers, Tammy __ "This is my protest against the conduct of the world. To be a vegetarian is to disagree--to disagree with the course of things today. Starvation, world hunger, cruelty, waste, wars--we must make a statement against these things. Vegetarianism is my statement and I think it's a strong one." -- Isaac Bashevis Singer
Guest guest
There is one calendar I'd love to add to this list. 4) The API Primate Sanctuary The Sanctuary: http://www.api4primates.org The Calendar: http://www.api4animals.org/catalog/index.php?main_page=document_general_info & cPa\ th=25 & products_id=85 API is short for the Animal Protection Institute. One of their projects is the API Primate Sanctuary, which houses more than 400 primates. --- " Tammy, Bay Area Veg " <t wrote: > Hi folks > > If you're looking for a calendar for 2007, I wanted > to share information > about a few of them.
