Guest guest
Here are some addresses to send letters of complaint to. I am going to have a letter writing party addressing China in particular, as I lived there for one year. Until then, here is some info. to get you going. You can send letters of complaint to the Chinese Tourism Bureaus and the US embassy in Beijing outlining your concerns and stressing that the experience negatively impacts your impression China. Please also encourage them to call for new measures to be enacted to improve the welfare of all animals in China as the current state reflects incredibly poorly on China's international image. At this time, the looming approach of the Olympic Games is probably the best bet in stirring interest, so apart from linking what a sad indictment on the image of the country's treatment of animals represent as we approach 2008 " Green Olympics " , it would also help to write to the local papers in Beijing - or foreign language press.
