The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced a public forum to discuss a petition to establish a definition for the voluntary claim " natural " and to gather comments on conditions under which the claim should be allowed to be used on the labels of meat and poultry products. The University of California Regents have applied to the Department of Homeland Security to build a bio-warfare agent research facility at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s high explosive testing range adjacent to the city of Tracy, Ca. This facility may experiment with live Anthrax, “Mad Cow” Disease, and Ebola Virus. Scientists would experiment on farm animals (i.e. cattle, pigs, and sheep) at this facility.
