Guest guest
I rescue pups from St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. My mom and I are traveling there 12/15-16 to 12/23/06 out of any bay area airport (or Sac works too). We will each be returning with 2 pups (from St. Croix back to bay area), so saving a total of 4 pups. I did this last year with my hubby and I’m returning this year with my mom, to do it again. The airlines will only allow us each to carry on 2, otherwise, we would take more! Airfare is coming up at $1000 each roundtrip, wondering if anyone has airline miles/vouchers for sale?. Or advice on where to find excellent air rates? Must be an airline which allows you to carry on small animals (most do) as we will not put the pups in the cargo holds. I REFUSE to cancel this mission! I already have our hotel booked. Thanks in advance – and also, next time you travel, think about flying home animals which would otherwise for sure be put down. In St. Croix, they have an awesome “Pets from Paradise” program as they receive 9-10 animals a day and can only hold 100. The rest go to animal heaven. It’s a huge problem and there aren’t enough resources for these animals. I appreciate any info and if you want to hear more on the pets from paradise program or looking for a small dog to adopt for life, etc – feel free to contact me. I will have adoption applications and the pooches will be going out after the New Year to their forever homes. NAMASTE Meg the Veg oceansundance Below is a photo of me and the 4 pups I flew back last October - all the animals there have a zest for life, excellent temperaments, and are just so very special.
