Yummy new vegan treat at the link below. I love Tofurky, both the product and the company (they are so generous to animal groups), but it's nice to see something new on the market. One more sign that the demand for cruelty-free food is increasing!

Products like this are perfect to take when you attend a non-veg holiday dinner, or your annual office potluck. You'll be setting a great example for how good vegan food can be, and if you bring enough to share, then you're doing even more: When people have a positive vegan food experience, they are much less afraid of learning about the issues. If people think that going veg means eating sprouted wheat berries and lettuce on Thanksgiving, they won't want to learn about animal cruelty or heart disease caused by meat. Good food opens minds.

There is also the Now and Zen Unturkey, available at Rainbow Grocery in SF (and elsewhere). Easily the best of the lot!But I agree, it's amazing to see yet another choice! On Nov 8, 2006, at 2:39 PM, Alex Bury wrote:Yummy new vegan treat at the link below.  I love Tofurky, both the product and the company (they are so generous to animal groups), but it's nice to see something new on the market.  One more sign that the demand for cruelty-free food is increasing!

This is great - more choices. But I wonder if this is why I have not

seen Tofurky at Whole Foods (San Rafael) this year yet. (Haven't seen

this either, of course.)

I bought my Tofurky at Trader Joe's. It included the stuffed roast and

gravy for $8.49. That is a great bargain over what I've paid in

previous years.
