Guest guest
Hi folks I had sent a previous email about this, explaining that it has been a tradition with Bay Area Vegetarians to ask for volunteers to organize a community Thanksgiving get-together in their community to celebrate Thanksgiving vegan style in cities across the Bay Area. Someone may host a Vegan Food Party with a Thanksgiving theme, while someone else may choose to host a dinner at a restaurant. Or maybe it's not called Thanksgiving but Turkey Liberation Day. So far I've heard definitely that Kim and Jaime are hosting again in SF (thank you!) and a possibility of one in Oakland. If anyone else is thinking about hosting, please email me to confirm details -- our November newsletter will be going out at the beginning of the month, and we would want to list all events in that issue since the monthly newsletter is our main way of communicating with members. To recap, the event can happen on Thanksgiving day, or the weekend before, at a time/date of your choosing/convenience (after all, you're organizing!). It can be at your favorite restaurant, or Vegan Food Party style (i.e. a potluck and everyone contributes). These events can be large or small, it's entirely up to you. Here's some photographs from previous events: http://www.bayareaveg.org/gallery2/d/3278-2/thanks03.jpghttp://www.bayareaveg.org/gallery2/d/1264-3/tg04.jpg http://www.white-mountain.org/pictures/gallery/v/2003-11-27_Thanksgiving/ Cheers, Tammy & Chris Best of Veg 2006 - VOTE NOW - Win Prizes - www.bayareaveg.org/vote
