Greetings! My name is Tao Hannah. I live in downtown Berkeley.

I have 9 years experience in childcare (mostly with toddlers) as a

nanny and in group daycare & nurseries. I have current certification

in CPR (Adult, Child & Infant) and First Aid. My registration with

Trustline is in process; I have a California driver's license & clean

record (currently using bicycle and BART for my transportation). I

have excellent references and letters of recommendation.

 

I have been involved in natural whole foods for many years. I am

certified as a Living Foods Lifestyle Educator. I worked for 16 years

at a not-for-profit Living Foods Lifestyle education center and am

currently still involved as a member of the Board of Directors. I

would be very pleased to support a healthy vegetarian, vegan & /or raw

food diet in your child's and family's lifestyle.

 

I am very conscientious, reliable, caring and safety conscious. I have

good communication skills & a lot of patience. I am active, healthy

and health conscious. I enjoy working with young children in

practicing social harmony, encouraging healthy self-esteem, handling

issues in positive ways and exploring our environment. Through child

led play I naturally facilitate many aspects of development.

 

I am interested in SHORT TERM care (1 day/night or more: days,

evenings, weekends) & LONG TERM position(s) as a nanny & /or mother's

helper. For long term commitments I am available 3 to 4 full weekdays

per week, daytime hours. I may be available full time for the right

position. I am a permanent resident of Berkeley (not a student). I am

happy to do light housework, errands and some pet care, as needed.

I'm also experienced in bookkeeping & office work (with references).

 

I am offering quality care at very reasonable rates, starting at $8 to

$10 per hour for short term jobs (one night/day or more) and

increasing depending on the types of responsibilities, number of

children and duration of position. I am open to shared nanny

situations if the parents choose to have such an arrangement. For long

term commitments I would need to receive $15 per hour or more

depending on the number of children and the types of responsibilities

required.

 

I am particularly experienced and interested in caring for children

from 1 to 4 years of age; however I am also open to caring for older

children and babies as well. I encourage reading, outdoor activities,

singing/music/dance, interactive and active educational play,

involvement in and enjoyment of life (instead of the less interactive,

more sedentary " activities " such as watching TV).
