Guest guest
Let me clarify this. Gorilla Barbeque is the name of a new restaurant in Pacifica that will be serving cows, pigs, chickens, etc. It is NOT a vegetarian restaurnt. The name evokes images of Gorillas being barbequed. And gorillas (and chimps and bonobos) ***ARE*** being barbequed in Africa, endangering the future of their species to the point of extinction by 2100 or sooner. There are many resources on the internet for folks to educate themselves on the Bushmeat Crisis. You can see pictures of murdered apes being cooked at www.karlammann.com. You can google " bushmeat " and find all the relevant information about the impending extinction of apes. We can not make light of, or ignore, the plight of endangered apes. Please contact the owners of Gorilla Barbeque and/or the Pacifica tribune at pactrib and ask them to change the name. It's bad enough we have to endure another dead-animal-restaurant but one that bears a reference to an impending species extinction seems particularly in need of a change.
