Guest guest
For anyone whose love of fashion finishes at a close second to their love for the animals, take note: The Adidas store at the new Westfield shopping center in SF has carved out about half of their sales floor for Stella McCartney's new sportswear line. For those who don't know Stella McCartney, she's the daughter of Paul and Linda McCartney; a high fashion designer who also happens to be vegan, and incorporates her ethics into her work. All of her products (including her shoes) are vegan, and she's been praised by Treehugger for using sustainable materials rather than toxic materials like PVC. She's also listed on PETA's vegan company directory. Her lines have traditionally been out of reach to people unwilling to pay $500-$1000 for a pair of heels. But her new sportswear is much more affordable (not cheap but far more affordable than what she usually puts out), suitable for the gym or the club, and available in SF at a major shopping center. Many of her garments and sports shoes feature the label " suitable for sporty vegetarians " , which is a nice touch, and even those without the label are still vegan. (Note: I have no connection or affiliation with the Westfield shopping center, Stella McCartney, or Adidas.)
