Guest guest
The Department of Defense and Homeland Security have chosen Livermore Lab (and now Tracy) for a Bio-defense Lab in which they will test on animals (most likely cattle, sheep and swine) lethal agents that could be used on us in case of terrorism. These will include all forms of biological and chemical agents—i.e. anthrax, viruses for which there is no cure, and other substances they will not reveal. Tri-Valley CAREs, a small organization in Livermore is fighting this, and they need help. The UC Regents are pushing for it, citing, "financial reasons." There will be a meeting in Tracy on Tuesday evening at 7pm where scientists and others will present the information about the labs. Homeland Security said it will make its decisions based on the reaction of the affected population.
