Guest guest Posted September 11, 2006 Report Share Posted September 11, 2006 Hi folks Are you an auto mechanic, or do you know someone who is an auto mechanic, who is supportive/friendly of veg*nism? If so, we could use your help! Because the Bay Area Vegetarians' tabling set-up is quite heavy and big, it does not fit in a regular sized car so we have been keeping a third car, an older Dodge Caravan, for tabling. It's served us well over the years but now it's having some problems and not running well. We've already taken it to one local shop who tinkered with it and charged us $200, without really fixing anything. We personally think it could be the fuel injectors, but we're not experts. (FYI, the $200 is our personal funds -- not BAV funds). So if you know a good mechanic who would be inclinded to provide assistance by giving us a good diagnosis of what is wrong, what it would cost to fix, that's what we're looking for. We're not asking for anyone to do the work for free. We live on the Peninsula so someone on the Peninsula or SF would be ideal (do not want to drive it too far) And, again, this car is what we use for BAVeg's tabling set-up, which is quite elaborate.
