Cooking class in South Bay?

Hi there,

I would love to do a Bay Area Vegetarians Cooking Class in Palo Alto or somewhere around there. We already have one great volunteer looking for a space (thank you, Will!), but I wanted to put the word out to other folks.

This would be a free class for people new to vegetarianism, to help them make the switch. We'll ask for a donation but it won't be expensive and we won't turn anyone away. The trick is finding the space! If you live in that area, can you please stick this in the back of your mind?

Renting a space is an option, but of course free is better.

 

Church kitchens work well.

Meeting rooms in libraries can work.

A private home can work, but it's tricky--you must be willing to open your home to the public, and it may limit the number of people who can attend.

Community centers are great.

 

I don't actually need a kitchen. I would prefer one, but the last few BAV classes were done in large meeting rooms w/o kitchens. I just set up on 6' tables and " wing it. " I do, however, need a source of hot running water and electricity.

I've been getting requests from South Bay people for a class, many of them NOT vegetarians (exactly who we're hoping to reach). But we don't have a space.

P.s.

This would not happen anytime soon. Perhaps December, a holiday foods class, or even January. But many facilities need reservations far in advance.
