Guest guest
Hi Everyone, September's Vegan Baking Class is coming up soon. This month's class will teach you the secrets behind baking two fantastic vegan banana breads: my traditional favorite, and a wonderful low-fat version. My traditional banana bread was my first perfected vegan recipe, so it should be no surprise that I baked it every week for nearly two years. I always loved banana bread as a child and remember looking forward to my grandmother's fresh baked bread. However as I grew older, I soon realized my grandmother's banana bread was not fresh at all, it was made from a box! When I was about 18, I decided to try baking banana bread myself. I got out my Crisco butter flavored shortening, milk, eggs, bananas, and bleached white flour. As you probably know, this traditional non-vegan recipe tasted terrible and was very greasy. Because of this experience, I did not attempt banana bread again for almost 10 years. After going vegan 3 years ago, I decided to give it another try and developed what I think is the best banana bread I've ever tasted. My newly developed low-fat vegan banana bread is just as delicious. So, join me on Saturday and I will teach you how to bake these two great recipes.
