Guest guest
Hi Does anyone know of lunch places that are vegan friendly in the Pleasanton area? I am starting at a new job in Pleasanton... The Ultimate guide lists only Trader Joe's; and I am hoping there are vegan folks who can help out with other ideas (deli / mexican/ etc). THere is also a mall nearby, maybe that has some places one can find vegan food at? Thanks in advance Veena
Guest guest
Hi Veena, For Thai, try Little Home in the same shopping center as Trader Joe's at Santa Rita and I580. I recommend #39 for lunch, but the section that #39 is in is all veg. You'll have to tell them to hold the oyster/fish sauce though for all the entrees if you want that avoided. For Indian, try Tabla, in the same shopping center as Trader Joe's. There are a number of veg items to choose from on their menu. For Mexican, try El Balazo and get the Basic Burrito and tell them to substitute guac instead of the sour cream and cheese. You'll get a large burrito and their salsa bar is pretty good. El Balazo is near Owens and Hacienda and is in the same shopping center as WalMart (sorry, but the most obvious landmark).
