Guest guest
My wife and I took a Royal Caribbean (Monarch of the Seas) cruise in Feb. The food staff were unusually solicitous and accommodating. I gained five pounds, all on strictly vegan food, much of it simply a wide variety of vegetables and fruit. The key is to speak up, ask for what you want! Overall we did not care for the cruise, so the delicious, healthful food was a happy consolation. Best, Michael Michael R. Cruising & Being Vegetarian/Vegan Posted by: "Geri" MSGERI2U msgeri2u Mon Aug 14, 2006 5:51 pm (PDT)Hello All,I seem to remember someone asking about food choices while cruising and I wanted to share my experience. I just returned from cruising with Royal Carribean doing the Eastern Carribean route. I noticed that there weren't any vegan offerings during the dinner meals (or none that I could recognize), but there were vegetarian offerings. Some nights, they offered more selections than other nights. But their buffets offered plenty of fresh fruits, salads and some offerings with vegetable stir frys -- a lot of asian offerings.
