Guest guest
Hello All, I seem to remember someone asking about food choices while cruising and I wanted to share my experience. I just returned from cruising with Royal Carribean doing the Eastern Carribean route. I noticed that there weren't any vegan offerings during the dinner meals (or none that I could recognize), but there were vegetarian offerings. Some nights, they offered more selections than other nights. But their buffets offered plenty of fresh fruits, salads and some offerings with vegetable stir frys -- a lot of asian offerings. More importantly, my family and I were seated each night next to a Jewish family who ate kosher. The ship went out of their way to accommodate them and each night asked what their choices were for their next dinner. So, if Royal Carribean is capable of this kind of detail and attention, I am sure they will accomodate vegan eaters. I'm positive other cruise lines will also do this as well. My family and I eat vegetarian, and we had no problem filling our plates. So, if anyone has had any qualms about cruising because of food selections, they definitely will NOT go hungry, and please keep this in mind. Guest guest
I took my mom on a cruise to Alaska about four years ago and I called in advance to request vegan meals. I was happy with the outcome.Warning: There's an obscene amount of food (and waste) on cruises (24-hour buffets, midnight chocolate parties, ice cream/hot dog socials, etc...) _,___
