Guest guest
Friends of San Francisco Animal Care and Control <HelpAnimals Wed, 09 Aug 2006 20:54:46 -0700 San Francisco Animal Care and Control (ACC) and the main rescue group that rescues rabbits from ACC, the Save a Bunny/House Rabbit Society, are experiencing a sudden and overwhelming influx of rabbits, most of them dumped by former owners. In fact, as of Wednesday, August 9, there were 19 rabbits at ACC, six of whom will have to be euthanized for lack of space if ACC doesn't find foster or permanent homes for them soon! Primarily because of the rabbit rescue group, which is run by the indefatigable Marcy Schaaf, ACC has not had to euthanize a rabbit in three years. That's quite a record, but they've reached the breaking point. Please spread the word, forward this message, and consider caring for a rabbit yourself if you are able and willing to accommodate their needs. They typically get along fine with most other pets. Please call ACC at (415) 554-6364 to see if you or someone you know might make a good rabbit adopter or foster " parent. " ACC's kennels are open noon to 6 p.m. daily (till 7 p.m. Wednesdays). They're located at 1200 15th St. (at Harrison). Thanks, Bill Hamilton Founder/President The Friends of San Francisco Animal Care and Control (FSFACC) P.O.
