Guest guest
Hi everyone, We've been getting a huge crowd lately at this Bay Area Vegetarians monthly vegan dinner-last month we had 26 people, which took up about 90% of the restaurant. Let's aim for 30 this month! We've had a lot of diversity at the dinners-with people ranging from teens to 60+ year-olds, people of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds and both vegans, vegetarians, pesco-vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Everyone is welcome. This is a really fun event with a lot of interesting conversation going around the tables, not to mention really delicious food and desserts. So, please join us if you haven't before or haven't been in a while. Since there most likely will be a big turn-out again, I'd like to kindly request that if you know in advance that you will be coming, to please RSVP by 4pm on 8/8/06. This will save us from having to re-organize furniture, i.e., bring other tables over to our section, while we're eating and chatting. I'd also like to be able to give Bay Leaf a more accurate estimate of how many of us will be showing up, so that they will be able to plan staff needs accordingly. But, if it's a last minute decision, please do feel free to show up. Thanks! So, please join us for Bay Area Vegetarians' monthly Peninsula dinner at Bay Leaf Café on Tuesday August 8 , 2006 at 7:00 pm . Bay Leaf Café is located in downtown Palo Al to at 520 Ramona Street (cross street is University). Bay Leaf offers delicious vegan soups, sandwiches and ice cream, including Maggie Mudd's vegan ice cream. Bay Leaf is vegan owned and operated. All dishes are vegan and organic when possible. For more info about Bay Leaf , which is one of my favorite vegan restaurants in the Bay Area, go to: http://www.bayareaveg.org/ug/display.htm?id=17 Free parking is usually relatively easy to find and the Caltrain station is just down the street. Please reply to this email or at the BAV events calendar: http://www.bayareaveg.org/events.htm?EID=1323#1323 Looking forward to seeing new folks, the regulars and the " new regulars " .
