Guest guest
Does anyone have an old laptop they’re thinking of getting rid of? I would love to take it off your hands. I need a laptop that can access my wireless and that has a basic word processing program. That’s it. I don’t care if it’s an older, bigger model (I won’t be carrying it much), I don’t care if it has coffee stains or stickers on it, I don’t care it the battery isn’t great because I can just stay plugged in. A working DVD player would be a bonus but not necessary. I would like to pay as little as possible for this—or perhaps I could make you dinner in exchange—although I’m not a legal non-profit myself, I do work for a non-profit so I’m a cheapskate. J I need it for work on the website for vegan recipes, like the ones from the cooking classes, as an additional resource for the new vegetarians who are looking for more food and cooking information. Alternatively, I know there are some inexpensive places that sell used laptops, does anyone have the name of these businesses? Thank you, Alex
Guest guest
Alex, I have an old laptop that as of 1 yr ago, I used until I upgraded. It was a nice HP model that came out new in 2000. It has MS Word etc on it. As for internet connection, you would need to buy a wireless card to have it go wireless (i think something like $35 at bestbuy etc). I would be happy to give you this for no charge, considering the work you'd be doing on it. If for some reason, it didnt fit your needs you could give it back etc. Let me know, TimAlex Bury <AlexB wrote: Does anyone have an old laptop they’re thinking of getting rid of? Guest guest
Alex, I have a wireless card I can give you for free. It's the older, slower 802.11b (11 mbps) but I bought 3 cards off woot and really only need one (though an extra is always nice.) Email me your address and I'll send it off to you. Cheers!
