Guest guest
I am posting this for my dear friend Stefan. I can vouch for his claim that Juneau is “one of the sweetest, gentlest souls you’ll ever meet.” Crossing my fingers that there’s a good match on the BAV list, Alex Wondering if there might be a good house share situation for my canine companion Juneau and me in the City. Currently in Marin, need to give a full month notice, so probably looking at end of August. Would like to find something under $900, near a park, not too hectic in terms of traffic and parking; the area up by Mt. Davidson would be ideal, but there are lots of other neighborhoods that I'm sure would work too- Diamond Heights, the Castro, Upper Market, something close to Buena Vista Park (I've been in the Bay Area for over 6 years but still don't have all the neighborhoods down, so I'm probably missing some great areas- the main thing is really that it's not too loud and busy and that there's a place nearby where Juneau can play). Other things that would be key are a good fit between those of us who live there (you know the usual no-drama, responsible, decent person kind of thing), washer and dryer, a veg-friendly household (Juneau and I are both vegan), and a room that's not so small I have to crawl under or jump over things to get into it. Bonuses would be housemate(s) who I hit it off with so we could occassionally spend time or do things, another pup for Juneau to hang out with and go on walks with, high speed internet, easy access to an outdoor area for an occassional cigarette, and a dishwasher in the house. So about me: 38, gay (though terminally single it seems), originally from Germany before being banished to Texas for most of my life, escaped to California in 2000. 2 college degrees (Finance and German, both of which have turned out to be less than useful). Very easy going, friendly, low maintenance, quiet, especially at first; like my alone time but have a bit too much of that living on my own now; have always had good roommate situations in the past. Light/outdoor/very careful and respectful smoker; like to have a few beers or glass of wine a couple nights a week, but nothing too crazy anymore. Play acoustic guitar and sing, though not much these days, at some point may try to revive my songwriting ambitions. Work at home Monday-Friday as travel manager for PETA and weekends as a supervisor at a boys home in San Rafael. More about Juneau: 4 1/2 yr old lab/shepard?/pitty?/rhodesian ridgeback?/no one really knows mix. Very well behaved, mellow and shy (esp. at first, kind of like his dad), loves to please, snuggle, and go off-leash. He's great with other dogs (standoff-ish at first, but warms up quickly) and cats (ignores them). He's one of the sweetest, gentlest souls you'll meet! Can't think of anything else- feel free to email or call with any questions or if you have a place that might be a good fit. Thanks!
