Guest guest Posted July 6, 2006 Report Share Posted July 6, 2006 Hi folks Just wondering if there are folks in the Santa Cruz or surrounding area who'd be interested in getting together some Friday evening for dinner at Saturn Cafe in Santa Cruz ? Just recently discovered their garlic fries and they were excellent, unlike any fries I've ever had before. They are lightly battered and fried, and served with loads of crushed fresh garlic. I think an order of fries is big enough for a meal on it's own! I remembered one review in UG and suggested the (vegan) peanut butter milkshake and it was also superb (thanks Mel!) It'd be fun to have an "excuse" to get together with some new/old friends at this fun vegetarian diner. For anyone who has not been to Saturn Cafe, it's a circular shaped restaurant in Santa Cruz decorated with a planetary theme. The folks that work there are friendly and efficient, and the food is American diner style (soups, burgers, etc). It's all veg and there are vegan selections, too. And, as far as I know, it's the only veg restaurant that stays open until 3 am on some nights. So, if this is something that might appeal to you, shoot me an email ...
