Guest guest
The Warped Tour is a huge punk rock concert that draws thousands of young people. It is an excellent leafleting opportunity. Please join me to hand out copies of " Why Vegan " and " Even If You Like Meat " ! Vegan Outreach always receives requests for veg starter guides from people who have received a pamphlet at these concerts. The show begins at 11:00 AM and will probably be completely over by 8:00 PM (maybe earlier). We will begin leafleting at 4:00 PM and stay until the end of the concert. The more people we have leafleting, the more impact we can have. The show is at the Embarcadero Pier 30/32 in San Francisco. Please RSVP by email so I know how many boxes of leaflets to bring. Guest guest
I wanted to add if you're wondering "why leaflet" or "even if you haven't ever leafleted before", the more people we can reach with information about factory farming, the more people will consider reducing their consumption of animals which translates directly into saving animals lives and preventing animal suffering. In general, younger people are more open to making changes when they learn about factory farming which is why Vegan Outreach has the Adopt a College campaign and find that music concerts are also great opportunities. At the beginning of this year we did a presentation on Advocacy Basic Training. For anyone who might be interested, here are the links: Advocacy Basic Training: Activist Skillshttp://www.generationv.org/2006/01/13/generation_vegan_podcast_4Advocacy Basic Training: Activist Rightshttp://www.generationv.org/2006/01/21/generation_vegan_podcast_5 Also check out Vegan Outreach's website at http://veganoutreach.org - they have some great information useful for new veg*ns as well as activists. And if you can't make it on Saturday, Ari is leafleting on Sundays at the Stern Grove concerts in SF.
