Guest guest
Hi everyone, I'm writing to recommend Asiana Garden, at 1841 Euclid between Hearst and Ridge, right next to the UC Berkeley campus. It opened a month or two ago (replacing a non-vegetarian restaurant by the same name), but I'm afraid they'll go out of business like the last vegetarian restaurant on that block if more of us don't start checking it out. The food is Vietnamese/Chinese, is entirely vegetarian and mostly vegan, and much of it contains fake meat. They have vegan egg, eel, salmon, shark fin, abalone, shrimp, beef, chicken, pork...60 dishes in all. They even have vegan pho and vegan flan! They'll omit the butter if you ask--just tell them if you're vegan. I've been there 4 or 5 times and have been consistently impressed with the food, the service, and the price. I hope many of you will check it out and review it so that if others like it as much as I do, this place will stay in business. Best, Damian

If you need help or suggestions on getting started, check out the suggestions that I put together for Bay Area Vegetarians. Some of the information is specific to BAVEG events, but most of it is pretty applicable to organizing an event for any group, or even just as an individual wanting to meet others. http://www.bayareaveg.org/host.htmCheers,Tammy Veg and Animal Rights events, food, fun, and fellowship http://www.BayAreaVeg.org Check out the Ultimate Guide to Vegetarian Living in the San Francisco Bay Area ... veg foods, services, and more! http://www.bayareaveg.org/ug
