Guest guest
KFC Cruelty Protest San Rafael Advocacy Rewards Points: 2000 It's crucial to keep up this campaign in order to see changes. Join Bay Area Vegetarians as we stick up for the chickens and protest the Colonel's secret ingredient (animal cruelty) at: San Rafael KFC 555 Second Street, San Rafael, 94901 New or experienced activists are welcome. This is a low-key protest, all signs and leaflets provided. I have had to change the day to Sunday for the next few months at least due to my work schedule. We do this monthly, now happening on the 1st SUNDAY of each month, 12-1 pm, but check calendar to confirm. If you can't make this date but want to help at future ones, please email me. For more info on this nationwide campaign to get KFC to mandate better conditions for the chickens slaughtered, click here http://www.kentuckyfriedcruelty.com/index.asp Rain cancels. Fog is okay :-) Please RSVP if possible so we can contact you in case of last-minute weather changes (tel #helpful) From Chris Overton, KFC campaign coordinator for PETA, " These demos are a VERY important part of our campaign to improve animal welfare standards that corporations require of their suppliers. Every time you attend one of these demos, you are helping to ensure that life improves for billions of animals all over the country. " If you can't make this demo, check the BAVEG event calendar for other monthly demos happening in Palo Alto, SF, San Jose, San Francisco, and Santa Cruz. We would LOVE to see some new faces out there on July 2nd!!! Hannah
Guest guest
Hey all, wanted to put in a good word for this event - I attended last month and it's a great location, lots of drive-by traffic right off a freeway exit. Got both honks and, uh, other gestures, meaning we're getting a response ;o) Definitely worth coming out for. -Sara , " girl_veggie " <hannahtai wrote: > > KFC Cruelty Protest San Rafael > Advocacy Rewards Points: 2000 > > It's crucial to keep up this campaign in order to see changes.
