Guest guest
I just saw this posted to an events list in an African American paper and thought some of you might be interested in handing out literature about the dairy industry...Monday, June 19The got milk? Great American Weight Loss Challenge is traveling to 75 cities nationwide to celebrate the success locals have seen when they've taken a realistic approach to weight loss. This includes reducing calories, exercising and adding 24 ounces of milk to their diet each day. As part of the celebration and to encourage others, the got milk? campaign along with Curves International and Shape Magazine are hosting free, wellness events to help put San Francisco on the path to weight loss success. Residents will have the opportunity to learn what more than 80,000 people across the country already have - one of the keys to healthy weight loss may be sitting in their fridge. A growing body of research suggests that the nutrients in milk may help you burn fat and lose weight. Studies have also found that people who drink milk are leaner than those who don't. 12-3pm. Ghirardelli Square, 900 North Point St., SF. 312-860-0371.
Guest guest
Unfortunately, I cannot make it to this, but I have TONS of dairy-specific flyers both about health and about the cows, so please let me know if you can attend this and want leaflets to hand out. If you want *someone* to be there, have that someone be you! If there’s something stopping you from doing this other than work or schedule stuff, like nervousness about leafleting or where you can stand or concerns about what to say, please email this list (or me) for advice and support!
