Guest guest
Hi All : ) I said I would post whether the Berkely party promoting the new law protecting companion animals in disasters is vegetarian. Therese, who is organizing it, said that The Missouri Lounge, where it is being held is a bar and therefore food won't be served. The details for this important party again: It is to raise awareness and funds to help get Congress to pass the PETS law (Pet Evacuation and Transportation), which makes it so that companion animals must be taken into account in disaster planning. This is critically important, especially when you look at what happend in New Orleans during the Katrina disaster. The party is : June 17th at 9 PM, The Missouri Lounge, 2600 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley. **Please RSVP to Therese by going to hsus.org, clicking on the upper right corner where it says "Party with a Purpose". This will direct you to the right location (You will first have to go to "California", then you will see "Berkeley" and you click on Berkeley) Thanks everyone for caring!
