Guest guest
Hi folks, We will be bring out wonderful education & outreach display on veganism & factory farming to the following SF Street Fairs this month and could use a few more hands to help. Haight Street Fair Sun 6/11 (leaflet, takedown) Pride 6/24 & 6/25 (leaflet, 1 tabling shift, takedown) Ample opportunities at both events for Tabling - done in scheduled shifts. Haight is fully scheduled, but if you're available, let me know as (unfortunately) sometimes we do have last minute cancellations. Pride, need one more person on Sunday, tabling shift from 3:30 to 7:30 pm (at 7:01 we start takedown) Outgoing, friendly person with experience & knowledge of veganism and factory farming. While previous tabling experience is helpful, it's not necessary if you're a quick learner. This is a busy shift but you won't be left alone as we've got other experienced volunteers scheduled at this time and need one more person. If we haven't tabled before, let me just say, Pride is the best event I've ever tabled at, and I've tabled at dozens of events over the last 10 years. People who attend are open-minded to our message of compassion for animals and good health. Leafleting -- anytime, it's great if you can bring your own materials or (if you coordinate in advance with me) we've got extra Why Vegans, leaflets from PETA, etc. Best for a friendly, outgoing person as these are both busy events. If you're new to leafleting, and want to learn on the job, we can give you tips. Haight 11 am-5:30 pm; Pride starts at noon on both days, ends at 6 pm on Sat and 7 pm on Sunday Takedown - we always can use extra hands to help us carry stuff back to the car at the end of the day. As Chris & I also do set-up, it's a long 12 hour day typically for us. And for Pride, by the end of the second day, yeah, we really appreciate the old adage about many hands making the load lighter. Haight takedown - 5:35 Pride 6/24 takedown - 6:10 Pride 6/25 takedown - 7:10 Please email me directly if you're interested.
