Hi Moya,

Sebastopol is a veg friendly town.

As noted in the Ultimate Guide there is Slice of Life a 100% vegetarian

restaurant that is very very vegan friendly and has great breakfast

fare as well as lunch and dinner. It is on MckInley right next door to

Whole Foods (more vegan groceries and deli foods). Food is good at

Slice but the service can be leisurely when busy - only one wait person

for the dining room. Don't hesitate to go to the counter if you need

something.

Try also - East West Restaurant on Main Street. This is a natural foods

restaurant with many veg offerings and they speak vegan too.

Most coffee and bakery places have soymilk options. Try the long

standing Grateful Bagel! Or the funky roadside coffee seller south of

town at Bloomfield Crossing.

Their farmers market should have started by now and is on Saturday

morning on the plaza across from Whole Foods.

Then there are a zillion Mexican restaurants. One to try is Pappas y

Pollos - a lot of fun with vegan options (if you specify no cheese)

with good black beans and tofu choices. There are others too that are

accommodating. Just up the road and on the same side is a little walk

up with a covered outdoor dining area. I can't remember the name but it

is on the south end of town like Pappas.

And just before you leave town heading south across from the Fircrest

grocery store is an nice, elegant Loatian restaurant called Vientaine.

Wonderful light Indonesian food and they can prepare to your

requirements - just approach as you would any Thai / Vietnamese

restaurant. Great food and atmosphere.

There are more but that's a good start. Also check out Andy's Produce

if you drive by - a local favorite.

Don't worry you won't go hungry while enjoying a lovely stay in the

West Sonoma County.
