If he is commited to eating flesh - skip the apologies. I have been a convert to Vegetarianism for 56 years without ever back-sliding. At 79 years of age my fleshless diet has not killed me, and I enjoy the wide range of foods and dishes available to vegetarians/vegans. I do not proselytize for others to follow my example. Eat, drink as you please; dump whatever you like into water supplies; ignore the stench of ammonia and methane that arises from animal feedlots. What we civilized, sophisticated, enlightened citizens need is more, not less, animal blood flowing. Daniel Bernstein Palo Alto
