Guest guest
Just a reminder about this event! This is a great book, and if you can't make this event, I'd still recommend giving it a read. Cheers, Tammy Tammy, Bay Area Veg [t] Saturday, April 22, 2006 10:07 AMBAV mail list; baarn 5/14, SF, Book Discussion: The Pig Who Sang to the Moon Every month the BAVEG book club meets for informal discussions of a pre-selected book. 8 general books are discussed and 4 veg/animal rights books are discussed. The latter happen quarterly in conjunction with the Compassionate Living program, sponsored by Bay Area Vegetarians. This month's selection is The Pig Who Sang to the Moon by Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson. This non-fiction book is about animals who typically live on a farm -- cows, chickens, sheep, goats, pigs, ducks, geese, etc. In it, Masson has compiled and shared interesting stories and observations of these animals as they relate to each other, and ultimately to us. It gave me a deeper understanding and appreciation for the emotions and feelings of animals. I'd definitely put this book on my recommended reading list!
