Guest guest
MARK YOUR CALENDARS! On Friday, May 5, at 7:00 p.m. (Cinco de Mayo), KTEH-TV - San Jose (Channel 54) reportedly will be screening a half-hour documentary called " La Charreada, " about the Mexican-style rodeo. It's worth copying for future reference. Although horse tripping (a standard charreada event) has been outlawed in California (and six other states), the brutal " steer tailing " event still goes on here. Worse, charreadas are not covered by the California rodeo law (Penal Code 596.7). This must change. Please forward this e-mail to interested parties. All state legislators may be written c/o The State Capitol, Sacramento, CA 95814. Cheers, Eric Mills, coordinator ACTION FOR ANIMALS
