Guest guest
I just sent Jeffrey Preston, the Director of Purchasing & Product Development at Johnny Rockets, an e-mail thanking him and Johnny Rockets for providing a vegan option and for the thorough and honest response he provided to David’s question about the bun and fries. The reality is that if you eat in a restaurant that serves animal products, it’s likely you’ll eat some. But I’m impressed that they seem to have made a very honest effort to make the boca and fries as completely vegan as possible. I just wanted to encourage anyone who agrees to send him a thank you as well. Here’s his e-mail address again: jpreston Stephen Wells, Executive Director Animal Legal Defense Fund 170 E. Guest guest
I sent him a thank you email this morning and he promptly got back to me. It looks like they'll be adding some comments to the website regarding this issue. I also asked if there's any chance they'd add avocado as well as soy milk and soy ice cream for shakes. Here's his response: Melissa, Thank you for your kind words. Based on responses such as this we are adding a section to our Ingredients page which explains the beef tallow issue as well as the cooking procedures. I hope this is helpful. As for your suggestions about alternate ingredient items (avocados, soy milk, etc.) we will take a look at these types of items the next time we conduct an R & D session to see if they are viable for Johnny Rockets. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or concerns. Sincerely, Jeff Thanks to David for following up on my original post question and for Alex for letting us know about Johnny Rockets. Take care everyone, Melissa On 4/19/06, Stephen Wells <swells wrote: I just sent Jeffrey Preston, the Director of Purchasing & Product Development at Johnny Rockets, an e-mail thanking him and Johnny Rockets for providing a vegan option and for the thorough and honest response he provided to David's question about the bun and fries.
