Guest guest
Hi folks If anyone is interested in tabling with Bay Area Veg, please email me. We have several tabling opportunities happening in the next six months. For anyone new to outreach, we will be tabling at an Earth Day event in the East Bay on 4/29 that would be a good "hands on" training opportunity if you'd like to get some experience tabling with us. It will be a smaller event and if you'd feel more comfortable with a "practice" session with some experienced activists before you try tabling on your own, this is a GREAT opportunity. Bay Area Veg information tables will be promoting veganism and raising awareness of factory farming. So a commitment to veganism (currently vegan or committed to working towards veganism) and knowledge of factory farming are important. Please also keep us aware of local tabling opportunities. If anyone has any connections at the SF Farmer's Market at the Ferry Building and could get us a tabling spot there, please contact me! I tried but their initial response was that promoting vegetarianism was a conflict of interest since they also have vendors selling "sustainable" or "free range" animal products. Thanks, Tammy Bay Area Vegetarians Map it Veg! http://www.frappr.com/baveg http://www.frappr.com/vegetarians ____ "This is my protest against the conduct of the world. To be a vegetarian is to disagree--to disagree with the course of things today. Starvation, world hunger, cruelty, waste, wars--we must make a statement against these things. Vegetarianism is my statement and I think it's a strong one." -- Isaac Bashevis Singer
