Guest guest
Hi Melissa, The Milo Foundation, based in Berkeley, is a wonderful organization that rescues dogs and cats from high-kill shelters and places them in loving homes. They have a "storefront" on Solano Avenue in Berkeley and they have tons of kids of all ages volunteering there all the time. Here's a link to their website www.milofoundation.org Sorry I don't know of anything similar in the South Bay! Hi folks, I'm trying to develop resources for the kids I work with and I would love to see more kids working with animals. It helps the kids and the animals. I know it's a long-shot, but does anyone know of any animal rescues, animal adoption programs, or any programs benefiting animals, that will take 12 year-old volunteers, in the San Jose/Santa Clara/Sunnyvale area? If not 12 year-olds, are there any that will take teenagers? Or in other areas besides the South Bay? Thanks in advance, Melissa [This message contained attachments]
