Guest guest
Hi folks Just a reminder about how to use BAVeg resources to promote your veg/AR events 1) SFBAVEG & SFBAVEG-EVENTS list - Posting it here will get it distributed to ultimately 1700 people. Events from SFBAVEG (1200 rs) are also manually forwarded to SFBAVEG-EVENTS (an event announcement only list with another 500 rs). Only rs can post to SFBAVEG. You can join the list directly or via our website at http://BayAreaVeg.org/join.htm 2) Event Calendar - http://BayAreaVeg.org/events There's a form on the website, and just complete all the details. We got a lot of people visiting our website and the calendar, so while it is an extra and separate step from posting to the mailing list, I would encourage folks to list their events. If your event is one that repeats and all the details are the same every month except the date, let me know as I may be able to help you with subsequent entries. 3) Event Sponsorship If your event is one that you feel is aligned with Bay Area Vegetarians and you'd like us to sponsor the event, let us know, as group events do get promoted in our newsletter as well which reaches about 2300 members. 4) Advertising This won't apply to most events, but we do offer advertising on our website. All the advertising fees support Bay Area Vegetarians, which is a non-profit 501©(3). Hope that's helpful as I know Spring & Summer are really busy times .. but that's one of the benefits in living in such a veg-friendly Bay Area! And, I think as we have more and more veg & AR events, it also has the effect of supporting others in their choice to be vegetarian or be an activist, and encourages others of like-mind to move to the SF Bay Area. Cheers, Tammy Bay Area Vegetarians Map it Veg! http://www.frappr.com/baveg http://www.frappr.com/vegetarians ____ "This is my protest against the conduct of the world. To be a vegetarian is to disagree--to disagree with the course of things today. Starvation, world hunger, cruelty, waste, wars--we must make a statement against these things. Vegetarianism is my statement and I think it's a strong one." -- Isaac Bashevis Singer
