Dear Advocates for Animals: Following are the details for Kick-Off of Campaign to Stop the Use of Dogs in Vivisection in San Francisco. Date & Time: March 15, Wednesday, 11:30 AM Place: UCSF, 513 Parnassus Ave., San Francisco If activists can make and bring their own signs, here are a few examples: - We are dogs' guardians - not torturers. - Stop cruel & unnecessary experiments on dogs. - Stop using (wo)man's best friend in cruel experiments. - Stop using my tax $ for illegal experiments on

dogs. - Dear Chancellor Bishop: What did you do with our dogs?* - "Where are my puppies?" - German shepherd mother.* * These have to do with NIH-funded UCSF Research Project #10000961 (now terminated), for which UCSF has yet to document exactly what happened to dozens of German shepherd dogs and several mongrel dogs used in the project - despite a complaint to the United States Department of Agriculture calling for the agency to investigate the fate of the dogs - and despite my lawsuit to obtain information on the dogs' disposition. Rainy Day Note: It looks like there may be rain on the 15th, so please be sure to dress warm and bring rain gear; also I would advise that you protect signs (especially if you put a lot of work into them) somehow.
