Guest guest
....Don't be! Three of us leafletted today at De Anza College and it was the first time for all of us. We handed out approximately 540 Why Vegan? and Even If You Like Meat brochures in about 1 hour. And it was really fun! Even when it rained part of the time. Most of the credit has to go to Paula and Mike, who passed out the majority of them. I actually had fun talking to people who loved to ask questions like, " So you only eat lettuce, right? " . Ha ha. Well, I just wanted to encourage others who might be hesitant, to try it. It's really fun and rewarding, knowing that today we may have encouraged some people to go vegetarian or atleast take steps to reduce animal cruelty. We'll be leafletting again in the South Bay soon, so please join us. Look for details to come soon. Also, Suzanne, who is a very experienced leafletter, will be leafletting at San Jose State University on Tuesday March 21st from 11AM-1PM. I have been involved in the Adopt a College program for a couple of years now. I am not as active as some, like Suzanne and Victor, but I *do* make it a point to leaflet once a month. My strategy is to leaflet during my lunch hour. I spend 25 minutes walking to/fro the school and 30 minutes leafleting. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but it does add up over time. I can usually distribute between 75 to 100 booklets. Today was a good day, it was 100. Please think about leafleting on a regular basis -- I'd love to see more people join me in my once-a-month college leafleting pledge! And if you can do more, even better! But starting small is great, too.
