Guest guest
Hey Get ready for the food and music event of the year, on Sunday, March 12, 2006! First, join a group of lively and chatty people as we enjoy lunch at Berkeley's super great Udupi Palace restaurant. Udupi Palace is a great vegetarian restaurant with a wide selection of yummy north and south Indian cuisine. Prices are fairly reasonable. I plan to encourage all the guests to order vegan. We'll meet at Udupi Palace at 12:45pm and order soon after. Udupi Palace is located at 1901 University Ave., just a couple blocks from the Downtown Berkeley BART station. Then, about 2:15pm we'll all stroll a couple blocks south to Berkeley Community Theater, where we'll enjoy a fantastic full length concert by internationally-acclaimed theater organist Ron Reseigh, who will delight you with a wide variety of music including historical pop, jazz, movie music, and light classics. This is a pretty special event as Mr. Reseigh only shows up in the Bay Area once every 2-3 years. And the all-acoustic Berkeley organ is considered one of the world's great instruments and at nearly 37 tons, is well on its way to being the largest organ in a theater on the west coast. You'll swear Ron is conducting an entire orchestra up there! And, since the NorCal Theater Organ Society is intent on introducing the organ art to the widest audience possible, admission is FREE if it's your first time to one of their concerts, which I'll bet it is for most BAV people! So join me and many other fun people for a afternoon of great food and great music! Be sure to RSVP right away to let me know if you want to join us and the probability that you'll be able to make it so I can reserve space at the restaurant.
