Guest guest
PERMISSION TO CROSS-POST: In one of the rooms at Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland there are 2 small birds that are caged in separate, small, cages. The cages have a plaque stating " In Memory of... " The deceased or family of the deceased probably made a donation to have the birds kept there. There are locks on the doors of the cage to prevent tampering. The birds live a horrible life of solitude in a room full of ashes...... Please contact the cemetery at: Jeff Lindeman Mountain View Cemetery Association 5000 Piedmont Avenue Oakland, CA 94611 Fax: (510) 652-2726 Ask that these birds be given an atrium together where they can fly, or be put up for adoption to a loving home.
