Guest guest
Deedra Aro [DeedraA] Tuesday, February 28, 2006 4:35 AM San Francisco - PETA's 'All Animals Have the Same Parts' Demo Hello from PETA’s Activist Network, How are your activism efforts going in the San Francisco area? PETA is going to be there next week, and I wanted to see if you might be available to protest with us! We’re taking our “All Animals Have the Same Parts” demonstration to Market and New Montgomery Streets in San Francisco this Thursday, March 2 at 12 noon. The demonstration is a live reenactment of a PETA ad featuring former Baywatch star Traci Bingham. Our message is that factory-farmed animals are made of flesh and blood and bone, just as humans are. They have the same bodily organs, the same five senses, and the same range of emotions. And, of course, we all feel fear and pain, and none of us wishes to die violently. Billions of animals every year have their bodies chopped up, labeled as this cut or that, and wrapped in cellophane for the supermarket meat case. PETA is encouraging people to stop viewing animals as walking entrées, noting that animals raised for their flesh have personalities and feelings and form families and friendships if given the chance. See for yourself why PETA wants to change people’s misconceptions about today’s factory farms. We’ll have signs for you to hold and leaflets for you to distribute, so just bring yourself and anyone else who would like to attend! If you have any questions about the demonstration, please contact our campaigner, Chris Link at ChrisL or 757-943-0284 For more information about vegetarianism, please visit GoVeg.com. Please cross-post this message so that it will reach others who may be interested in helping! Thank you so much for all your help! PETA is thankful that you’re on the Activist Network, and we encourage you to take full advantage of it by contacting us anytime with questions, requests, or concerns!
