If you would like to be removed from this list please e-mail your request. Thank you for your on-going efforts and support of all animals in need. ***FORWARDED MESSAGE*** These three horses have a buyer who is willing to come and get them at any time. The only problem is he is going to slaughter them. Read e-mail below. What more can I say? The recent horse we just asked for help on is being saved (will send an update as soon as it’s accomplished). I’m just hoping that these three will be just as lucky. Perhaps someone can negotiate with the seller and get the price lowered. Unfortunately, this sounds like money will ultimately win out. I would love some good news about Felina, Bart and Taco. Please contact Dan (read information below about the horses) to help save them. He doesn’t want them destroyed either. Perhaps he will be willing to give them to someone who will care for them or a rescue. Thank you. He has already been talking to a kill buyer and the kill buyer has offered to come pick up the horses, but he really doesn't want to send his horses to slaughter. All 3 horses are registerable, and he is willing to give the documentation. Registrations will have to be transferred and brought current though. He said they are very well bred, but he didn't give me any info on lineage. He has owned all 3 of these horses for several years, and he is offering his Peruvian Paso informational books with whoever takes them, so they can learn about the history of the breed. He paid $12K for Felina and Bart about 10 years ago. He is willing to sell each of them separately. Here is their info: Felina - 20 yr old chestnut mare, saddle trained, but has not been ridden lately. Prefers females. Very standoffish with men. Last trail ride he took her on, she laid down with him. Did not thrash, just laid down and took a rest. He said she is good with the farrier.Bart - 11-12 yr old black stallion - very gentle, well behaved even around mares. Has never bred. He is Felina's colt. Bart is not broke to ride, but the owner said 'he is close. Maybe a week and you could ride this guy. ' Bart is a smart and playful type. He can open gates and untie himself. Does not challenge fences, he stays in hot wire fencing only. Taco - 11-12 yr old bay stallion - was bred one time several years ago, and he was quiet, polite, and did not act 'crazy' at all. Taco is not broke to ride either, but he said with his quiet personality he could be put under saddle very quickly as well. The owner paid $3K for Taco as a weanling. He also stays in hot wire fencing only. Dan djexter Cell: 509-951-4816 Home: 509-292-8698 Please let him know that Shelly told you about the horses, so he doesn't think he is suddenly being bombarded.
