Guest guest Posted October 21, 2007 Report Share Posted October 21, 2007 Last minute ideas to celebrate World Vegan Day 1st November Send a Happy World Vegan Day Card or an email like this to editors of your local newspapers or producers of the drivetime show of your local radio station. Ask restaurants and hotels in your area or your canteen at work if they can put on a special World Vegan Day menu. Hang a banner over a bridge or on a busy roundabout wishing the morning rush hour traffic on 1st November a very happy World Vegan Day. (Use an old sheet and green poster paint) Ask your local independent health food store if they'll put a poster up wishing everyone a happy world vegan day. Stand out side your local station with a bucket of free fortunes. Ask everyone to pick a free wish. In the bucket have lots of folded fortunes that say " Happy World Vegan Day " or " Go Vegan - Save the Planet " . (You could get 48 fortunes on an A4 photocopied sheet of paper thats 480 on just 10 sheets @ 10p sheet = £1) Wear a Happy World Vegan Day T Shirt and record a video for Y ou Tube Put a Happy World Vegan Day Poster up in your local library Take an extra big lunchbox into work and share vegan chocolate and veggie sausages (or raw hempseeds?) with your work colleagues. Get Green Chalk and write on the pavement or a wall - " Happy World Vegan Day " Write a letter to your local MP wishing them a Happy World Vegan Day - ask them what they will be doing on world vegan day and how they will celebrating this one day a year designed to benefit people, animals and the environment.
