Moray Firth Dolphins in Danger – YOUR help needed URGENTLY

 

Dear Friend

 

In the next few days the UK Government will make a crucial decision. They

will decide whether to allow drilling for oil and gas in the sanctuary

created for the bottlenose dolphins of the Moray Firth, Scotland - including

WDCS's adoption dolphins.

 

For the first time ever, the Government is considering granting licenses to

companies to explore and drill within the Special Area of Conservation in

the Moray Firth. If these licenses are granted it could prove devastating

for the incredible animals who make this area their home. The underwater

noise and disturbance from boat traffic and heavy industrial machinery could

drive the dolphins away for ever.

 

It’s not too late to stop this but we must ACT NOW.

 

We urgently need your help. Please send an e-mail to the Minister of State

for Energy, Malcolm Wicks, urging him to ensure protection for the Moray
