TAKE ACTION: Congress Gets Recess...Why not kids?

 

Even as we face enormous challenges like global warming, our children are

less environmentally literate and more disconnected from nature than ever

before. On top of this, the federal No Child Left Behind policy has left

environmental education...well...behind. Your Members of Congress have the

chance to change this, by passing the " No Child Left Inside Act, " a bill

that strengthens and expands environmental education in America's

classrooms.

TAKE ACTION: Grow Conservation in the Farm Bill

 

Of all the bills NWF advocates for, the Farm Bill might be the least likely

one you think of as impacting wildlife. However the past three Farm Bills

have shaped more conservation programs for a longer period of time--and put

more funding behind those programs--than any other suite of legislation.

 

The 2007 Farm Bill has already passed the House of Representatives. Speak up

to make sure the Senate version expands and funds wildlife conservation

programs.
