Guest guest
PROACT UPDATES PROACT UPDATES NEW PROTEST EMAIL ACTION AGAINST THE USE OF STONE CRUSH TRAPS IN FRANCE Please action and pass to your lists and contacts. In 2006 many of you supported the CABS/Proact campaign against the reintroduction of stone crush traps in the Central Massif sanctioned by the then French Environment minister Mme Nelly Olin. Tens of thousands of song birds, many of them protected by EU legislation, are trapped and crushed under stone slabs weighing several kilograms and then eaten as delicacies. Since the elections in June 2007 France has a new Minister for Ecology, Sustainable Development and Planning, Jean-Paul BORLOO (MBA Manchester University, graduated in philosophy, history, economic science and law). Please protest AGAIN against this brutal and literally stone age practice to the new minister at http://www.proact-campaigns.net/proact_france/stone_traps_02.html Many thanks, David Conlin Proact International & Committee Against Bird Slaughter (CABS)
