Guest guest
Below is an article about the tragic fire in Notre-Dame-de-Stanbridge, actually about 40 miles southeast of Montreal. http://www.canada.com/montrealgazette/news/story.html?id=04e36873-9318-4c79-a928\ -87b63e0e0582 Please note that there is an innacuracy in the story: 75 cats perished, not 150. Firefighters saved about 30. There are still about 20 cats who are hiding in the woods and Madame Perret and volunteers are working to get them all. Also, Cara, the American bulldog, was indeed lost in the fire. If you are in the Montreal area, volunteers are still needed. Please call Madame Perret at 450-296-4219. Any donations would be dearly appreciated at this time. They can be made out to " Chaumiere pour quatre pattes " (That means Cottage/Shelter for four paws.) and mailed to: Chaumiere pour quatre pattes 1333 Rang Ste-Anne Notre-Dame-de-Stanbridge, Quebec J0J 1M0 (Please note that any donations from the U.S. should be sent as International money orders in Canadian funds. These may be obtained from the bank or the post office.) Thank you all!!
