OT: RESCUER NEEDS URGENT HELP

I need help. I was the victim of a theft while pumping gas at a Chevon, someone stole my purse - opened the driver's door and took it all. It contained all the money I had in cash. CASH - I pay my bills with money orders and was going to stop and get hte money orders while I was out. I had a hw positive beagle in the car (just picked up from a transport from Augusta) and a little pug (transported from Athens) that I had just rescued. I have a dog that just had surgery (Barrow County) and a new boxer mix that was just neutered (DeKalb County), I am overwhelmed but still going but now I have no money. My dogs can be seen at petfinder or some on my website which is not up to date because I am caring for 3 sick dogs and 4 that have to be leashed walked and cannot run with the others. My mortage is already one month behind and like everyone I am struggling to

make ends meet. I have 22 dogs (4 too many) and 6 are my own b/c they are probably unadoptable except Ranger and Puddles, one is a pit mix, one is just plain old adn the other is a rambunctious overzealous Rottie mix. I have contemplated turning some of the small dogs over to animal control since I won't even be able to feed them much less get them vetted, I need more crates, but MOST OF ALL I need my 750 mortgage paid before I go into foreclosure YET AGAIN I JUST pulled my second out in April. I had planned to buy AT LEAST two more crates with the stolen money. But it is the bills that scare me, the mortgage. I will not be able to pull out again and all these dogs will pay for my stupidity. They got it all, my entire paycheck, all my at limit :-) credit cards, my driver's license, even my digital camera so I have no way to post the new dogs. I am beside myself with

grief that ANYONE could do this to me. I work my butt off for the dogs, I get little sleep, I treat them like family and cry for joy when they are placed and never ever NEVER make a dime on them. In fact I haven't bought new shoes, clothes, even cosmetics (and I work in an office) in over a year, I sleep on a sofa, I drive an old car -- I live to save dogs and now I am devastated that this has happened to them. I have cried my heart out for two days wondering what to do, I am so sick with fear and grief that I can hardly breathe. I haven't left these dogs in 5 years, not even to see my family at Christmas or to see my father when he had a kidney removed recently due to cancer. I stay with them night and day and look for and find stellar homes for them. I am overwhelmed, my credit sucks, I can't borrow the time of day and my dogs are going to suffer for this and I don't know where to turn except to other

rescuers (who I know are stretched to the limit) my family is the people I deal with on line, my real family thinks I'm insane for doing this (and I am) but the look on a dogs face when he is in a loving forever home with a family that will do anything in the world for him, when he has been so neglected and suffered so much is the most rewarding thing I've ever done. The dogs are very healthy and clean and well-cared for, people always remark about how happy my rescues are and how well they get along, all are housebroken before they go and know about 5 basic commands, but without my paycheck money, I am doomed. I live paycheck to paycheck and that is being behind one month on EVERYTHING. This is just horrible and I am terrified. I have posted for help for other people, but I am in terrible need right now. what I need to just stay out of trouble is $800 - a HUGE amount to anyone especially rescuers or I can pay someone back as I adopt dogs out -- I will not be taking anymore in for quite a while I am truly at my limit my very top limit. I have contacted a group this morning who will help me with food for two weeks til I get paid again. The hw positive dog will be treated this week - I am placing YEA!! MY LAST TWO KATRINA RESCUES today that will cover the hw treatment and her shots and spay. So it is keeping the water on (if someone wants to pay that directly by credit card, I can send them the account information; the lights on same deal (I owe three months, but $100 will buy me time until next payday). the gas company has given me time as has my internet provider (I don't care if they turn cable tv off I don't need it) and my phone bill was THANKFULLY paid before I was robbed. They got the only valuable things I had my money- my whole paycheck in cash - I

had just cashed it, my camera and my cell phone (which isn't valuable and I use a cheap local service) but my mortgage is scaring me to death. I have not stopped crying since yesterday and could barely get up this morning to take care of the dogs. I am simply dying inside that anyone would do this to me and these animals. I just do not understand why such terrible things happen to those of us who try so hard to do the right thing, or maybe I am defying God and He doesn't want me to do this. I do not know.
